MAGIC MOMENTS published by Southgate Educational is a book for Primary School Assemblies and PSHE&C (Personal, Social, Health Education & Citizenship) lessons. It includes 15 short stories for 5-8 year-olds of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds. Each story is followed by Teachers' Notes with suggestions for drama themes, discussions and craft work. Topics dealt with include safety at play, healthy lifestyles, stranger danger, coping with bullying etc. The accent is very much on fun and fantasy, not sermonising.
